PhD Candidate, Department of Anthropology, University of Wyoming The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Bonnie K. Gibson bio > When most people think about pottery in Colorado, they think of Anasazi pottery from the Southwest. However, prehistoric people were also making pottery on the Plains and in the mountains of Colorado. These pottery types are very different in appearance and also in manufacture techniques. This talk will focus on the major differences between Anasazi pottery and pottery made on the Plains. Overall descriptions and step-by-step manufacture techniques will be addressed. In addition, pots in the different stages of manufacture will be displayed and discussed. |
